If you are searching for a quick weekend of adventure than look no further. Our heli fly in/fly out Purcell Mountain running trip is one of a kind. Open to all levels of runners, the experience is ideal for folks looking to improve their mountain running skills while enjoying the comforts of high alpine lodging and chef prepared meals. For 3 days we will explore the remote Purcell Mountain range of BC. We will have the trails to ourselves as we introduce you to mixed terrain travel including off trail routes, sweet single-track, and peak bagging. This is a great intro to high alpine mountain running as we aim to help you develop your climbing, descending and ability to move well on a wide array of terrain types. Fully catered, no one will be hungry we promise. The food is gourmet and the views are stunning. Relax in the sauna after a big day on the trails. For 2018 we will enjoy our own private mountain chalet. Rooms are shared with double beds and single beds (offered on a first come, first serve basis.) This is a rare opportunity to explore such remote terrain in a small, intimate group setting. All inclusive (helicopter access in and out, food, lodging, guides.) The only extra's are if you wish to sip on drinks in the evenings...the bar will be open. Our group size is kept to a max of 5! Join us on the inaugural Purcell running getaway.
Day 1 - Helicopter arrival in the AM followed by a full 5hrs on the trail.
Day 2 - 5-6hrs of trail time
Day 3 - Morning run 1-2hrs followed by helicopter out
All levels of runners are welcome. We do ask that you can comfortably run 15-20km and are ok with back to back days on your feet. Please note, this is not a speed adventure. While we will cover some descent terrain, it will be coached through hike/run movement as both skills are critical to developing in ultra running.
